Paper Trees
The spirit behind Paper Trees started when Noah Tauscher (singer, producer) set out on a six-month backpacking journey through Asia. Surrounded by nature, he became untethered to the expectations of his life back home. Tauscher began making music that encapsulated his newfound freedom. He took his inspiration back to Oregon with him. In a remote cabin in the forest, he finished the music he started on his travels. The self-titled debut album blends modern textures with organic songwriting Tauscher describes as “Cinematic Folk.” The subtleties of electronic effects intertwine with lyrics that feel like coming home. Tauscher takes the listener with him on his journey through the branches of self-discovery. “I hope my music inspires people to go do something awesome,” Tauscher says. “The music I create reflects the space I’m making it in - I’m so affected by my surroundings. I can hear the expansiveness of the Pacific Northwest forests in the Paper Trees tracks we made.”
