Position Summary:
Position Music is seeking a full time Director, A&R Administration based in Los Angeles, CA. In this role, you will
be the “glue” between the creative and administrative functions of a label and publishing company.
Reports To: Head of A&R
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Maintain and continuously improve Position Music’s project management system workflows, automations,
and expense tracking as relates to approved marketing, recording and publishing budgets
• Assist Business Affairs with preparation and distribution of publishing and recording agreements and
Schedules as needed
• Oversee the onboarding of newly signed artists and songwriters: gathering PRO information, IP data, and
receiving proper documents for the royalty and AP systems to ensure advances and expenses are paid in a
timely manner
• Communicate new and upcoming releases, catalog updates, and rights to Position Music’s Admin, Label
and Synch departments
• Supervise workflow of A&R Coordinators
• Work alongside Position Music’s Label and Distribution teams to confirm all assets are delivered properly
and accurately ahead of scheduled release dates
• Meet with A&R and Label Product Managers to discuss product release timelines, budgets and
requirements to ensure a successful release of each product
Required Qualifications:
• 5+ years’ experience working for a music publisher and/or record label
• Previous management experience with proven track record of successfully managing and leading a team
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and oversee the project management of a large volume of releases
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Experience using project management systems such as Monday.com and Pipedrive
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and Google Suite
Salary Range:
• $65,000 - $85,000 based on experience

Position Summary:
Position is seeking a full time Director of Distribution based in Los Angeles or Nashville. In this role, you will
interface with all departments, outside vendors, as well as be involved in the day-to-day machinations of a music
publisher and record label.
Reports To: VP of Administration
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Deliver music, artwork and metadata to DSPs
• Prepare music files for distribution (adding metadata, formatting files, verifying all assets are correct)
• Troubleshooting on short form focused social platforms like Tik Tok, Meta and YouTube
• Work closely with A&R admin team in the tracking and completion of assets required for releases
• Work closely with Creative team in managing pre-released music for pitching
• Correctly organizing music libraries for third party partners and licensees
• Uploading music and metadata to third party end points
• Deliver sound recording and composition assets to YouTube ContentID
Background Requirements
• Prior experience working in or around digital distributors, record labels or music publishers
• Experience working in distribution platforms: Virgin/Universal, Disco, DistroKid, and Musicbed
• Understands nuance of asset delivery to various DSPs and partners
Required Qualifications:
• Detail oriented
• Ability to prioritize and process a high volume of work
• Experienced with audio file conversion and formatting
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word
• Familiar with DDEX
• Ability to work individually or as part of a team
• Knowledgeable about distribution terms, workflows data, metadata
• Understands the basic concepts of mechanical, synchronization licensing, and neighboring rights
• Has excellent written communication skills
Salary Range:
◦ $65,000 - $85,000

INTERNSHIPS
The Position Music Interns Responsibilities include:
- Internet/Client research
- Music submission review
- Publishing administration
- Music metadata organization
- Social media management
- Video/image editing and creation
- Misc. office tasks
Intern must be enrolled in an accredited college program. Typical time commitment is 20 hours/week. Must have their own transportation. We usually hire for Spring, Summer, and Fall semsters on a rolling basis.
