With a bevy of instruments and electronic production techniques, PARTY ANML creates a signature swirl of positive tones, uptempo dance-floor rhythms, and catchy lyrics with futuristic vocal effects. Movement is key to Anderson’s creative process and the overall vibe of PRTY ANML. Listeners won’t be able to resist tapping their feet or bopping their head as they listen to the funky bassline grooves on bops like “Do My Thing” or “Get Wild”.

With movement and dance at the core, it’s also impressive and refreshing to hear such “big sounding” tracks—layered with super-slick instrumentation and vocals—in 2019. In a time where many mainstream pop and hip-hop acts are going “minimal”, PRTY ANML flips that trendy notion on its head and proves that “more” can simply be better with their deep layers and mastery of funk band and rock-and-roll ensembles.

The lyrics and wordplay on Get Wild are catchy, optimistic, and at times comical. On “My Own Rules” the pre-chorus taps into simple ideas that everyone seems to ignore in the world of over-calculated social media posts and online algorithms: “Get down if you feel like/The roof's coming down tonight/One mantra, simple line, yeah/I make my own rulesNothing gon hold me back/Got time, ain't got no plan/Fam tell me where you at?/I make my own rules” With a breezy and casual vernacular, the sing-a-long-able lyrics allow PRTY ANML’s music to be accessible to music fans young and old.

Like a buzzing summertime pool party, the only rules that one should live by are the rules created on our own—and PRTY ANML’s music is here to sonically remind us of that simple, yet ever-important, life mantra. [ less ]
